Maureen Cooney, MS, CCC-SLP, COM
Maureen Cooney is a Certified Speech Pathologist and Certified Orofacial Myologist practicing on the southwest side of Chicago and its’ suburbs. Maureen is a lifelong Chicagoan as she attended St. Ignatius College Preparatory and graduated in Class of 99’. She then achieved a Bachelors of Arts from Indiana University in Bloomington, IN, majoring in Communication Sciences and Disorders and minoring in Psychology. She returned to Chicago and in the fall of 2005 she graduated from St. Xavier University with a Masters in Science from the College of Communication Sciences and Disorders.
As a young working professional, Maureen has achieved many specializations within a few short years. She is an ASHA Certified Speech Pathologist since 2006, an Early Intervention Specialist since 2007, and an orofacial myologist since 2010. Maureen has completed an Internship with one of the most well known orofacial mycologists, Joy Moeller in her California private practices and completed advanced education in orofacial myofunctional disroders. Maureen was certified with the International Association of Orofacial Myology in July 2013.
Maureen has professional clinical experience in a variety of settings including, acute and sub-acute rehabilitation, stroke units, outpatient rehabilitation, private practice, and support groups for stroke and fluency. In 2007 Maureen opened up her own small private practice, Maureen T. Grady, Speech-Language Pathologist, LLC. As her business has grown, she opened Grady Cooney Speech Partners, Ltd. in 2012. Maureen and her staff provide speech, feeding, and orofacial myofunctional therapy services for EI, pediatrics & adults in private practice and in-home settings when possible.
Maureen enjoys feeding therapy; she is SOS certified and has completed the Food Chaining Program as well. She also focuses her treatment on oral rest posture, tongue thrusting, treating speech sound disorders and oral habit elimination. She has attended advanced courses in silent airway disorders, sleep disorders, TMD and craniofacial pain. Maureen is a member and strong advocate of the AAPMD, which helps to bring awareness to Silent Airway Disorders, which impact most all parts of life. Maureen is a 3 time recipient of the ASHA ACE Awards for ongoing continuing education.

Jennifer is a graduate of St. Xavier University. She graduated 1994 with B.A. in
Communication Disorders. Jennifer has more than 13 years experience in Chicago Public Schools as a speech therapist working with children in Pre-K through 8th grade.
Jennifer spent the past 6 years working as speech therapist in Early Intervention.
Jennifer resides in Evergreen Park with her husband and three sons.
Jennifer is a member of Provider Connections of Illinois.
Paula Garbin Martin, MS, CCC-SLP
Paula is a Certified Speech Pathologist. She graduated from St. Xavier University in 2005 and received her CCC’s through ASHA in 2006.
